Payday 3 Matchmaking Problems Get Resolved After Lackluster Launch

Fans have waited a long time for Payday 3 and it was anticipated that this new installment will bring an overhaul to the series, but it has failed the gamers in several ways. Players have been facing various issues including server crashes, and matchmaking taking forever. The matchmaking issue has been persistent in early access and full launch, and players were not able to get into the game.
Starbreeze, the developers behind Payday 3 seem to have resolved the matchmaking issues. The developers assured the players that they are working on stabilizing the experience and things are improving.

Fans of the Payday franchise have waited for a decade to get a new entry and Payday 3 finally launched on 21st September after three-day early access. The game was first revealed this summer and launched in early access after a couple of beta tests.
Though there were a few issues during the early access, it was generally well. However, after the game launched on Game Pass, matchmaking took days for players to get matched. Payday 3 is an always-online co-op title and players were not able to get a match as the server was plagued with issues. They weren’t able to create lobbies but now the issues seem to have been fixed and players seem to be able to get into the game.
Payday 3 developers announced on X that things are looking much better as they work on stabilizing the experience
The developers took to X, formerly Twitter, and asked the players if they were able to log on or not. They thanked the players for their support and said they continue working on stabilizing the servers. Although there is no concrete solution given by Starbreeze, things look much more stable than before.

Players are still getting matchmaking errors but it is expected to be resolved with the update that might arrive soon. Also, matchmaking is possible on the current matchmaking service according to the devs and more positive updates can be expected soon.
Payday 3 is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation
Payday 3 has been long awaited and allows players to form teams of four to engage in thrilling and action-filled heists. The game focuses on team play and players need to be in sync to pull off those high-stakes heists. While the game can be played solo, these issues frustrated players, resulting in negative Steam reviews and a drop in player numbers. The game peaked at 70,000 players in the last 24 hours but is still halfway behind the all-time peak number.
