Disney has released the trailer for its upcoming supernatural comedy-adventure animated series, The Doomies. The show is set for a June 2026 release with a reported 22-episode season.
The Doomies’ synopsis reads, “When best friends Bobby and Romy accidentally open a portal to evil, their tranquil coastal town transforms into a hotspot for terrifying creatures of doom. As the ordinary teens navigate this extraordinary mystery, they face off against literal and inner monsters in this epic comedy that combines thrills, chills, and emotional spills.”

What do we see in The Doomies trailer?
The trailer starts with Bobby and Romy opening a portal to “Subterra” while posting their findings on social media. The portal unleashes various “monsters of doom” upon the coastal town, leading to the best friends deciding to face off against them. Before that, they must survive encounters with the monsters themselves, overcoming their self-doubt before dubbing themselves “the Doomies”. They also assemble a team of specialists to deal with the precarious situation.
The Doomies will debut with 22 half-hour episodes, along with a new short-form series featuring four episodes. The episodes are titled “Doug Unfiltered,” “Ghosted by a Ghost,” “Creepy Crepe,” and “What Is That Thing?”
The show is already in competition at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in the TV Films category. The episode “Night of the Fishing Dead” was selected from more than 2,400 submissions. Disney revealed that the episode will be screened alongside other official selections at the festival.

The Doomies features a voice cast that includes Max Mittelman as Bobby, Madison Calderon as Romy, Noel Gibson as Kim, Jon Bailey as Doug, and Zehra Fazal as Jenny. The show is produced by Xilam Animation for Disney Television Animation and co-created by Andrès Fernandez, Pozla (aka Rémi Zaarour), and Henry Gifford. Fernandez directs all 22 episodes, and Xilam’s Marc du Pontavice will serve as producer.
The Doomies start streaming on Disney+ from June 26, 2026.
