A new Black Panther is rumored to debut in Marvel Television’s Eyes of Wakanda show.

Eyes of Wakanda will premiere on Disney+ this coming August. The animated anthology show follows different Wakandan warriors as they carry out dangerous missions throughout different historical periods.

According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, via ComicBookMovie, Eyes of Wakanda will introduce MCU fans to a new Black Panther known only as “The Intruder.”

No other details are available at this time, and this is a rumor that should be treated with a grain of salt, as there has been no official announcement from Marvel that Black Panther will be part of Eyes of Wakanda.

What else do we know about Eyes of Wakanda?

The first episode of Eyes of Wakanda, which will consist of four episodes in total, was screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival earlier this month.

Variety’s description of the episode reads, “The episode, the first of four in the series, is set in 1260 B.C., and turns on a Wakandan secret agent, a disgraced former Dora Milaje named Noni (played by Winnie Harlow), as she pursues a man by the moniker of ‘Lion’ (Cress Williams),” Variety’s description of the plot reads. “Lion has defected from the Wakandan guard in order to run a band of pirates, and has stolen technology from Wakanda in order to found his own kingdom. Noni finds him in Crete, where Lion’s crew of pirates, assembled from fighters from around the world, are currently pillaging and enslaving a town.

“…There are other familiar touches, such as recollections of Ryan Coogler’s original Black Panther in the dialogue and the visual design, but [creator Todd Harris] notes that it was ‘never my goal to make another one, my goal was to make something new.’”

It is also known that an Iron Fist will appear in the show, though Harris has teased it’s not the Iron Fist that fans are expecting.

Marvel Studios’ Eyes of Wakanda premieres on August 6, 2025, on Disney+.
