Ray Liotta, known for his imposing demeanor and commanding voice, was an exceptional actor who left a void in Hollywood with his passing. The Goodfellas actor was 67 years old when he peacefully passed away in his sleep while shooting a movie in the Dominican Republic in 2022. Martin Scorsese, who worked with him on Goodfellas, described him as a ‘uniquely gifted’ and ‘courageous’ actor in his eulogy.

The Hannibal actor had strong opinions and was open about them, as evident from the time when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. During the show, he shared an unfavorable opinion about a Hollywood legend.

What Did Ray Liotta Say About Clint Eastwood?

On Andy Cohen’s show, Ray Liotta appeared alongside his Shades of Blue co-star, Jennifer Lopez. Cohen introduced a fun segment called Plead the Fifth, where the two actors were initially handcuffed together. In order to be released, both actors had to answer three uncomfortable questions.
Ray Liotta went first and remained unfazed by the host’s probing questions. When asked about his worst on-screen kiss, the Cop Land actor took a moment before naming Sigourney Weaver, his Heartbreakers co-star. In the next supposedly tricky question, the host asked Liotta to name the most overrated actor from the 80s or 90s. Despite Cohen’s expectation that Liotta might hesitate, the Identity actor quickly responded, “Pbbbt, Clint Eastwood probably.”
As the audience burst into laughter at his reply, the actor turned around and quipped, “I don’t give a sh*t.” The Iceman actor, however, didn’t elaborate on the reason why he made that particular remark about Clint Eastwood.

Ray Liotta’s honest answer might have been a spur-of-the-moment thing as the two actors had no unresolved issues between them. Interestingly, the Marriage Story actor would later portray the father character to Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott Eastwood. The two actors collaborated on the film April 29, 1992, which is yet to be released in theaters.
The Unlawful Entry actor trolling Eastwood surprised his co-star Jennifer Lopez, who, like Cohen, didn’t anticipate such a response from him. When asked about his favorite and least favorite JLo songs, the Killing Them Softly actor also humorously admitted that he wasn’t familiar with any of the JLo songs.
The Unforgettable actor didn’t have the opportunity to collaborate with Clint Eastwood on any projects. Ray Liotta was a raw and real human and his legacy as a genuine and committed actor will undoubtedly be missed by fans and movie lovers alike.
