1923 star Brandon Sklenar recently voiced his desire to play Batman again, continuing his campaign to take on the role of the dark knight. Sklenar is one of the favorites among fans to play the role of Batman in The Brave and the Bold. While the actor is a popular fancasting, there has no been no updates regarding the casting of the upcoming movie.

Brandon Sklenar still dreams to be Batman, hints people at DC are aware of him

The It Ends With Us actor recently said in an interview with ScreenRant that he was asked how he feels being the topmost choice of Batman fan-casting. Brandon Sklenar expressed his joy at being fan-cast as Batman, saying, ”Let’s keep running with that! That’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid — and I’ve never even talked about it — It just started happening and I was like, “This is cool!” And now, maybe, hopefully, it happens one day.”

Sklenar asserted that playing the role of the dark knight has been his ”childhood dream” and he would ”love to do it.” The actor also stated, ”If I [were] ever to do any type of thing in the superhero space, that’s what it would be.”

The interviewer made a phone call gesture and asked if Sklenar has ever been contacted by James Gunn or anyone from DC for the role. Sklenar suggested that ”there’s some awareness of me on some level.” However, he didn’t confirm if he has received any calls. The actor further added, ”The little kid in me, and the adult me is, like, “This is cool!” And I have a bunch of ideas. Anyway, it’d be cool.”

Apart from Sklenar, another actor who is a favorite among superhero fans to play Batman is Reacher star Alan Ritchson. While speaking to Wired in March, Ritchson said, ”I get asked every day if I’m playing Batman. Yeah, would I play Batman? Yes. Would I pay handsomely to be Batman? You wouldn’t even have to pay me to be Batman. I would don the suit.”
