LA Knight has been a prolific performer inside the ring. However, he has maintained a considerable distance from Maxxine Dupri ever since their time together at the Maximum Male Models stable came to an end. Dupri recently talked about how far apart they are despite being storyline siblings during a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, where she shared:
You know what’s insane? I have a huge match on Monday versus Becky Lynch, and do you think my brother has called me to offer advice or train me? No, he is not, and our mother is worried about him.
Additionally, Dupri also stated that Knight is still part of the family and they would welcome him with open arms if he ever showed up for a family reunion.

An on-screen character change in WWE is the foremost reason behind the professional distance between LA Knight and Maxxine Dupri. The latter was the fashion-focused manager of Maximum Male Models and was initially introduced as Max Dupri’s sister and talent director of the Maximum Male Models stable.
Max Dupri’s portrayal, however, was an unpopular reimagining of the well-known and beloved LA Knight character. The Max Dupri gimmick was abandoned due to fan demand and a change in strategy, allowing the dynamic LA Knight to resurface as a top singles competitor with a fierce, catchphrase-heavy persona that has no interest in managing models. The move worked wonders as Knight, who also has a relation with The Undertaker’s manager, Paul Bearer, went on to become the United States Champion.
This change functionally dissolved his kayfabe family ties and the Maximum Male Models faction, freeing Maxxine to pursue her own path as an in-ring wrestler and a member of the Alpha Academy stable, ensuring both popular characters can thrive on separate, highly successful storylines.

A major plot point in Maxxine Dupri’s transformation from a humorous manager to a serious in-ring competitor, with a focus on the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, has been the rivalry between her and Becky Lynch.
Although Maxxine lost their first title match, she soon showed her competitive spirit by defeating the dominant champion twice without a pinfall, first by count-out and then by disqualification after a displeased Becky Lynch used the title belt as a weapon.

The title belt attack from Lynch during the October 20, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW (via WWE YouTube) protected her title reign. Still, more importantly, it has elevated Maxxine’s status by showcasing her remarkable improvement and mental toughness, positioning her as a credible challenger whose persistent pursuit is causing the established champion to lose her composure.
With their high-stakes clash poised to be held on Monday, it remains to be seen what survives between the two: Maxxine Dupri’s renewed resolve to become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion or Becky Lynch’s reputation as a top performer in the women’s division?
