The Whole Bloody Affair‘s runtime clocks at 281 minutes, arguably the longest runtime for a movie in recent years, at least when it comes to nationwide theatrical releases. The movie will have an exclusive theatrical release, starting on December 5, 2025.
It’ll also be released in 35mm and 70mm formats, according to Lionsgate. As for fans who tend to take bathroom breaks between movies, the four-hour-plus experience will accommodate those breaks, thanks to its 15-minute intermission, set to play between Part 1 and Part 2’s story.
While we might never get a third movie in the series that fans have long been aching for, the combined theatrical version will incorporate something brand new for fans to chime in on.

The upcoming nationwide release will incorporate a never-before-seen seven-minute animated sequence. Considering the first Kill Bill embedded anime storytelling for O-Ren Ishii’s tragic past, produced by Production I.G., expect something in the same vein from The Whole Bloody Affair.

Although the details regarding the additional sequence remain under wraps, it has been reported that it’ll seamlessly weave into the movie’s narrative, similar to O-Ren Ishii’s past, and deepen the lore of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. This is potentially the last bit of new material fans can expect from the series, which is a shame, as Tarantino once toyed with the potential direction for a threequel years ago.
I think it’s just revisiting the characters 20 years later. Just imagining the Bride and her daughter B.B. having 20 years of peace, and then that peace is shattered and then the Bride and B.B. are on the run. The idea of casting Uma [Thurman] and casting her daughter, Maya, and the thing would be fucking exciting. I mean, Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) is still out there, Sophie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus) got her arms cut off, she’s still out there. They all got Bill’s money. Gogo (Chiaki Kuriyama) had a twin sister, her twin sister could show up.
