With The Boys recently finished airing, Homelander is one of the strongest characters from the series. While several characters from his own series will struggle against him, as we’ve already seen, what will happen if some powerful anime characters suddenly started leaping the bridge gap? Homelander would be completely obliterated if he aggravated the wrong person.
With that being said, let’s run a what-if scenario between the different entertainment categories and look at some anime characters stacked up against Homelander. Here are some anime characters who would absolutely obliterate Homalander if he decided to push their buttons.

1. Naruto’s Tailed Beast Bomb Is Enough to Erase Homelander’s Existence

Even though this is just overkill, as well as every other one on this list, many of you might agree when we say this: Homelander probably deserved this. Naruto Uzumaki, a passionate person who values friendship and compassion, would absolutely detest even the sight of Vought’s number one Supe.
While a simple Rasengan is enough to do lasting damage, he would probably go above and beyond to make sure the Supe is taken care of – and what else but the Tailed Beast bomb to make sure that the job is done.
2. A Soul Reaper Homelander Can’t Even Touch – Ichigo Kurosaki
Ichigo Kurosaki from the Bleach anime | Credits: Studio Pierrot
Ichigo Kurosaki, one of Bleach‘s strongest characters, has always been a no-nonsense guy and likes to get straight to the point without beating around the bush too much. He is also the guy who cherishes his friends and keeps pushing himself till the job is done. If Homelander ever were to tick him off, that would be his last day of existence.
Ichigo won’t just spare him the pain and deliver a Getsuga Tensho to finish him off immediately; he would methodically strip the Supe of every bit of pride he has with his powers. It also depends on how much he ticks Ichigo off; too much and the Horn of Salvation form comes out.
3. Rimuru Is the Demon Lord Who’d Make Homelander Dance on His Finger
Rimuru Tempest from the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime | Credits: 8-bit
While Ichigo and Naruto still offer Homelander a fighting chance, he’ll get none against Rimuru Tempest from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. The overpowered and broken Isekai protagonist is one of the strongest anime characters of all time, and he won’t hold back showing it off.
Whatever antics Homelander might try to play out, Rimuru will instantly copy and analyze them and refire the attack. Honestly, even if Soldier Boy and Stormfront came to Homelander’s aid, they would still be brutally defeated by Rimuru.
4. The Symbol of Peace That Will Hit Him Harder – All Might
All Might from the My Hero Academia anime | Credits: Bones Inc.
How about we stack hero against “hero” – All Might against Homelander – the number one hero against Vought’s number one Supe. Even though the latter might think they have a chance to win, they would be humbled real quickly when All Might pulls out the One for All.
To make matters worse for the VCU hero, he is everything that All Might detests. So the show of mercy can be thrown out of the window pretty easily.
5. Homelander Can’t Even Touch Gojo Satoru Thanks to Infinity
Satoru Gojo from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime | Credits: MAPPA
We’re basically tossing a lifeboat to Homelander at this point, but we leaked it to begin with. Not a single punch or laser beam would be able to touch Jujutsu Kaisen‘s “strongest” character, Satoru Gojo. Even a simple Special Grade curse like Jogo can go toe-to-toe with the Supe, Saturo is just overkill.
After Homelander is tired of continuously attacking and doing zero damage, Gojo might show him some mercy and casually fire a Hollow Purple, ending the fight, or rather, a one-sided beatdown, in a flash.
6. Compund V1 Isn’t Saving Him From Saitama’s One Punch
Saitama from the One Punch Man anime | Credits: J.C. Staff
Even if he is pumped up with 2-3 vials of the original V1 Compound, there is no way Homlander survives a hit from one of anime’s ridiculously broken characters, Saitama from One Punch Man. The bald “hero for fun” even punched through Garou in his cosmic state; the Supe is just a speck in the universe.
Saitama would just casually walk up to him and gently tap his chest, ending it all. And even if Homelander decided to take it to the sky, thinking he had a chance that way – surprise! Saitama can also fly (or you know, leap very high).
7. Anos Would Destroy Homelander in a Single Heartbeat
Anos Voldigoad from the The Misfits of Demon King Academy anime | Credits: Silver Link
Homelander’s lasers and strength would look insignificant against someone who treats death like a minor inconvenience – yes, that sounds like an appropriate statement if we threw in Homelander and Anos Voldigoad from The Misfits of Demon King Academy in a nuclear bunker and closed the hatch.
Aside from the fact that Anos would probably find a place to sit down while letting Homlander try whatever he can, he would actually enjoy toying with the Supe. Until and unless he decides it’s too much and completely obliterates Homelander within a heartbeat.
8. Luffy’s Gear 5 Chaotic Energy Will Drive Homelander Into Despair
While Homelander thinks he’s a god, Luffy from the One Piece anime is actually a god with the Gear 5 powers from the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sun God Nika. For some reason, if any one of the Straw Hats offended the Supe and he decided to lay a hand on them, Luffy would come for him and chase him to the depths of Earth if he needed to.
In pure combat, there is absolutely nothing that can prepare Homelander for Luffy’s reality-bending Gear 5 powers. But it would be really funny to watch the Supe getting knocked and ragdolled around like a cartoon, until Luffy drops a Bajrang Gun to finish him off.
9. Homelander Would Be Lucky to Lay Even a Finger on Goku
Son Goku from the Dragon Ball Super anime | Credits: Toei Animation
Okay, so for some reason, Homelander thought it would be a good idea to attack Krillin, Gohan, Goten, or any of the Z fighters from the Dragon Ball series. What he won’t see coming is an enraged and Ultra Instinct-transformed Son Goku standing right behind him.
Given he loves a good fight, Goku might give Homlander a chance to throw in some punches, while completely dodging them with Ultra Instinct. But once he’s bored, a simple Kamehameha is enough to close that chapter completely.
10. Mob’s Psychic Powers Go Beyond Homelander’s Comprehension
Mob from Mob Psycho 100 | Credits: Bones Inc.
Even overkill feels like an overkill if we start a battle between Homelander and Mob from Mob Psycho 100. The psychic wouldn’t even have to break a sweat to take care of the Supe.
Once Mob reaches 100% – or worse, ???% – he becomes an unstoppable psychic force; Homelander depends heavily on brute force, but Mob could pin him in place, crush him psychically, or launch him into orbit before he even gets close.
