The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 has wrapped production.
What is the latest update for The Rings of Power Season 3?
The latest update comes in the form of a behind-the-scenes video released by Prime Video. Several Season 3 cast members, including Jamie Campbell Bower, appear throughout the video.
“It’s been wonderful to be back in this world of Middle-earth,” said Morfydd Clark, who plays Galadriel.

Prime Video officially confirmed The Rings of Power Season 3 in February 2025. Season 3 will feature a time skip that jumps right into a pivotal war for Middle-earth.
The Rings of Power Season 3 synopsis reads: “Jumping forward several years from the events of Season 2, Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last.”
The Rings of Power stars Clark, Charlie Vickers, Owain Arthur, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Daniel Weyman, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Markella Kavenagh, and more. New additions to the cast include Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla, and Adam Young.
Showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay return for The Rings of Power Season 3. Additional executive producers include Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell, and Charlotte Brändström. Matthew Penry-Davey is a producer, while Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene, and Andrew Lee are co-producers.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted in September 2022. Season 2 premiered in August 2024. If the show continues on this course, Season 3 should arrive in the fall of 2026.
