The upcoming Spider-Man 4 officially has a trailer, and some fans believe it may have hinted at one of the most iconic X-Men characters soon coming to the MCU.
What X-Men character might have been teased in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
The trailer features a look at Peter Parker’s next adventure, all while trying to come to terms with the fact that his girlfriend MJ and best friend Ned no longer remember who he is. However, at one point during the trailer, as Spider-Man is being thrown around a bunch of cars, he lands on a bus that has a very specific looking person sitting in it.
Fans were quick to note the girl, who is seen listening to music, as someone looking remarkably like X-Men’s Rogue. They have the iconic split hair color that Rogue sports, with a white/brown mix of hair. The character can be seen listening to music while wearing a New York Jets shirt, leading to many joking about how she now has it even harder.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed the MCU film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which was released in 2021. Cretton was also attached to direct the fourth Avengers movie for a time, back when it was called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but stepped down from the position in November 2023.
The movie will once again be led by Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo are also expected to return for the sequel. They will be joined by cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Jon Bernthal, and Tillman, among others. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
