A new Spider-Man 4 set video provides some major clues regarding who Sadie Sink could potentially be playing in the MCU movie.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is now in production. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the film will once again see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It arrives in theaters next summer.
Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink has been cast in an undisclosed role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, though there’s been no shortage of theories and rumors regarding who she might be playing. A new Spider-Man 4 set video, shared on Twitter by Cosmic Media, perhaps gives fans their best clue as to who she may have been cast as, as the footage potentially eliminates some possibilities.

What do we see in the Spider-Man 4 set video?
According to ComicBookMovie, spectators watching the scene being filmed say that Sink’s character, who can be seen being wheeled into a black van on a gurney, is being taken to the Department of Damage Control.
This would mean that Sink’s character likely has superpowers, which would mean she’s probably not playing Gwen Stacy (unless, of course, she’s Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen from Earth-65) or Mary Jane Watson, as some have speculated. Beyond that, some of the more popular theories are that she could be Jean Grey or Firestar, which are still on the table.
The cast of Spider-Man 4 also includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. Severance’s Tramell Tillman and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31, 2026.
