Now, readers instantly noticed the connection between her name and the Japanese rain sound effect “Zaa” or “Zaaaa”, which represents heavy pouring rain.

What makes this especially interesting is Dragon’s very first appearance in Loguetown, which heavily emphasized the same “Zaaaa” sound effect during the massive storm that saved Monkey D. Luffy from execution.

Fans have been discussing this for several years, whether Dragon has weather-related abilities due to the lightning strike, sudden winds, and violent rainstorm surrounding his initial appearance in the series. Thus, with the introduction of Zaza in Chapter 1182, Eiichiro Oda may finally reveal the source of his mythological powers.
