A brand new Twitch Drops event for Rust is currently live, titled “Bears For A Better World”, running from July 2nd to August 13th. Since it’s a charity event, there’s a two-step system for grabbing the rewards. Before players can unlock or progress toward rewards, the community must first hit donation milestones to unlock reward tiers. Once a tier is unlocked, players can then watch Drops-enabled Rust streamers on Twitch for a set amount of time to earn the rewards.
It works like any other Twitch Drops once the donation goals are reached. If you want to unlock exclusive limited-time skins, here are the requirements for all Rust Twitch Drops.

The process of acquiring the Rust Twitch Drops is simple enough once you know all the requirements. By reaching more donation goals, more rewards become available to claim. So, with that said, here are all the Twitch Drops, donation milestones, and watch time requirements for the ongoing charity event:

All the drops mentioned above are Charity Skins, featuring bear prints and bear-themed designs. It’s entirely up to the community to raise the required funds and unlock the free rewards. Only then can you watch Drops-enabled streamers on Twitch to claim them. Of course, you can always donate and not only help the community reach milestones more quickly, but also benefit the charity.
The event runs till August 13th, so the community has more than a month to reach all the goals. Alternatively, you can purchase Charity Skins from the Steam Store, including the Cancer Research UK Plushie and the Ronald McDonald UK Plushie, to contribute to the cause and help the community reach the donation milestones.
We recommend letting a Drops-enabled stream play in the background while you move on with your day, and the rewards will be in your Inventory before you know it. And no, you can’t speed up the process by watching multiple streams simultaneously. Regardless, it’s a simple event that’s giving out tons of free skins while supporting a beneficial cause.
How to Claim the Rust Twitch Drops?

To claim the Twitch Drops, you need an account on both Steam and Twitch, and that’s basically it. Follow the process below to get started:
Link your Twitch and Steam accounts.
After that, watch any Rust stream with the Drops-enabled tag on Twitch.
Check your Drops Inventory to track your watch time and progression towards the milestone rewards.
Once you’ve watched a Drops-enabled stream for 2 hours, claim the rewards from the Drops Inventory page.
The total number of hours you need to watch a stream is 10, assuming all donation milestones have been reached and the rewards have been unlocked. Once you’ve claimed your rewards from Twitch, they should appear in your Steam Inventory within 10 minutes, as per the official FAQ.
You don’t need Twitch Prime to be eligible for the Drops. A basic Twitch account connected to a Steam account with Rust in the library will do just fine, and the rewards depend on the donation milestones after all. You can wait until all milestones are hit and then start watching Drops-enabled streams on Twitch to claim rewards, or donate to speed up the process and contribute.
It’s worth mentioning that if you have claimed the rewards but do not have Rust in your Steam library, you’ll need to purchase the game within 180 days to get them. It’s currently discounted on Steam due to the Summer Sale, so seize the opportunity before the offer expires.
