A new Masters of the Universe video has revealed the first glimpse of a fan-favorite character, along with a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the film.
What fan-favorite He-Man character do we see in the Masters of the Universe video?
The new Masters of the Universe featurette, titled Sword of Power, offers fans the first official live-action glimpse of Moss Man at the 0:29 second mark, standing to the left of the frame over the table with the Power Sword.
Moss Man actor Stephen Adentan had previously shared a behind-the-scenes look at himself in the makeup chair, getting ready to don the practical costume. Coupled with other marketing materials, the Masters of the Universe team is slowly but surely revealing more surprising characters set to appear in the film, including Battle Cat. Moss Man is a resident of Eternia’s forests, with plant-based powers, and was voiced by Lou Scheimer in the original 1980s series.
The He-Man adaptation stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, and more. The film won’t be released for another month, but reports already suggest plans for sequels are underway.
“Masters of the Universe introduces a 10-year-old Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword — the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later. Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!,” reads the synopsis for the film.
Masters of the Universe releases in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
