A prominent Marvel scooper has outlined two significant changes fans can expect from the MCU’s upcoming reboot following Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. The insider detailed how the post-reboot Earth-616 will welcome familiar Marvel properties in a much bigger capacity for the franchise’s next saga.
Mutants and Fantastic Four could be a part of Earth-616 soon
Marvel scooper Alex Perez has revealed new details about what the MCU reboot will look like after Avengers: Doomsday. According to Perez, the post-reboot MCU will remain largely the same, but with two major additions to Earth-616.
During his April 2026 Patreon and Discord Q&A on The Cosmic Circus, when asked what the reboot is going to look like, he said, “Same as before,” but with key changes. “Except now, mutants will be more prominent, and The Fantastic Four will be living among 616,” Perez said.
This confirmation aligns with Marvel Studios’ ongoing strategy to integrate both properties into the main timeline. The Fantastic Four: First Steps already established the team in a separate timeline during the Multiverse Saga. Meanwhile, mutants have received scattered references across recent MCU projects without full integration into Earth-616.
Perez also shared insight into the Scarlet Witch’s potential involvement in Doomsday, hinting at her connection to Doctor Doom. He noted that Doom performs something in the film previously accomplished by only two other MCU characters. Perez suggested that Wanda grant Doom this particular ability, pointing fans toward leaked concept art for evidence.
The scooper also teased that the reboot sets the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars with ambitious storytelling. He described Secret Wars’ introductory premise as a blend of WandaVision and the animated What If…? episode set in 1602. Perez explained that practically everyone will fall under Doom’s control in that film. Characters will inhabit a medieval-inspired reality similar to Wanda’s Westview hex.
Perez rated the surprise factor for Doomsday’s final cast at nine or 10 for general audiences. He predicted fans who follow scoops would find it a five or six instead.
