The first two episodes of a brand-new Star Trek show are now available to watch on Paramount+.

There’s been no shortage of new Star Trek shows and movies over the last couple of years, whether it be the popular Star Trek: Strange New Worlds show or the 2025 Star Trek: Section 31 movie starring Michelle Yeoh. Other shows like Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Discovery, and Star Trek: Picard have also been popular amongst fans of the long-running franchise.

What new Star Trek show is now streaming on Paramount+?

The first two episodes of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy are now available to watch on the Paramount+ streaming platform. New episodes will continue to drop weekly, with the final episode of the 10-episode-long season then arriving on March 12, 2026.

The synopsis for the snow reads, “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy introduces viewers to a young group of cadets who come together to pursue a common dream of hope and optimism. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.”

The cast of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy includes Holly Hunter, Paul Giamatti, Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, and Gina Yashere, among others.

Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau serve as co-showrunners on Starfleet Academy. The two of them are also executive producers alongside Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber. The pilot episode is written by Violo and directed by Kurtzman. Distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution, the show is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.
