DC is pushing forward with multiple new series premiering in 2026. The comic publisher has confirmed two previously unannounced solo series for two more superheroes. Though best known as members of the Justice League, these heroes also have devout fan followings.
The two new series will be released as part of the DC Next Level initiative. This specially curated line of comics shines a spotlight on those characters who don’t often get solo stories. Thus far, the DC Next Level line includes comics devoted to Batwoman, Lobo, and Deathstroke.
What Justice League heroes are getting new solo comics?
The two newest DC Next Level comics are Fury of Firestorm and Zatanna. The former will center around the Nuclear Man, whose atomic powers fuse two people together into the fiery defender. Written by Jeff Lemire, with art by Rafael De Latorre, the series will start with Ronnie Raymond settling in the small town of Bedford, Colorado. Soon after, Firestorm appears, and begins menacing the town with his transmutation powers. The mystery of why the former Justice League member is doing this will lie at the core of the new series.

Zatanna will center around the titular Mistress of Magic and second generation superhero/stage magician. It will be written and drawn by Jamal Campbell, who also handled the 2025 Zatanna miniseries. The new comic will pick up where the previous comic ended, with Zatanna embracing her new role as Earth’s Prime Magus. She will try to balance this against the demands required by her stage show and her work with the Justice League.
