Spring Fever continues to blend light romantic comedy with hints of deeper backstory and emotional mystery. In Episode 2, Yoon Bom and Seon Jae-gyu’s relationship deepens in unexpected ways, and the drama throws in a few curious subplots, including the presence of Choi Ji-yoon.
In the first episode, we saw that Choi Ji-yoon is a well-known and successful attorney who has been trying to find Seon Jae-gyu for years. Apparently, Jae-gue used to bully him in school, and Ji-yoon is now looking for revenge.
But Episode 2 adds an unexpected twist. We see him with actress Jeong Nan-hee. He is revealed to be the fan cafe founder and founding president of The Chronicles of Nan-hee, a fan club. As we see them talk, Nan-hee asks him to find her daughter, whom he had met once at a 2022 fan meeting in Seoul, held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her debut.
While the episode does not reveal who Nan-hee’s daughter is, we can guess that it is Yoon Bom, as the description matches perfectly.
Why Do Jae-gyu and Yoon Bom Go To Seoul?
In Episode 2 of Spring Fever, Yoon Bom’s relatively quiet life in the rural town of Sinsu is interrupted when a crisis involving a student forces her and Seon Jae-gyu to make an unplanned trip back to Seoul.
The situation begins when Choi Se-jin, the high-achieving second-place student and student in Bom’s class who constantly vies with Jae-gyu’s nephew, Seon Han-gyeol, becomes overwhelmed by academic pressure and disappears after a fight with her parents. Her father is a governor who also pressures her to get the first rank.
While she runs away, Han-gyeol follows her to Seoul. Learning this, Yoon Bom and Jae-gyu decide to trace them. After knowing they are at a subway station, they rush there. Jae-gyu finds Han-gyeol, but Se-jin is nowhere to be found. But soon, Yoon Bom spots her, and she is with an adult male. While we don’t see it, it is probably Choi Ji-yoon.
The episode ends with Jae-gyu sprinting between platforms to catch the departing train, pulling Bom out of harm’s way at the last second.
Who Slaps Yoon Bom in Spring Fever Episode 2?

Yoon Bom isn’t slapped in Episode 2, but in a flashback, she gets slapped in the episode. When Seon Jae-gyu tells her that Han-gyeol and Se-jin have run off to Seoul, she gets a vivid flashback.
The flashback takes us to a parent-teacher meeting where Yoon Bom is greeting the father of a student. Later that night, while she is busy working on her schoolwork, her phone keeps blowing up with text messages from her parents. The messages are all flirtatious in nature.
The next day, when she is happily teaching in her class, a woman walks into the room and slaps her very hard. Later, we see her traumatised with disheveled hair, walking out of the room as everyone around her mutters in disbelief about her having an affair.
The episode does not reveal whether she was romantically involved with the parent or not. Nor does it reveal who the woman was who slapped her. But our best guess is that she was the wife of the parent with whom Yoon Bom is alleged to have had an affair.
From what we saw in the first episode, the imagery of a slap returns in her disturbing and recurring nightmares. This establishes that Bom carries deep psychological wounds that influence her present behavior and emotional withdrawal.
