A candlelight procession for late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad, took place this evening in Lekki, Lagos State. Nigerian celebrities came out to honour the memory of the late singer. Davido, Falz, Toke Makinwa, Ubi Frankin, and Dorcas Shola Fapson are some of the celebrities sighted at the event. Fans and well-wishers also came out in their numbers for the procession. As announced by the management of the late singer, the procession started at Lekki Phase 1 Gate and ended at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos. After the procession, a tribute concert began at 8 pm prompt and is still underway at Muri Okunola Park. Videos from the scene show hundreds of candles lit by mourners to honour the singer. Mohbad died on the 12th of September 2023, at the age of 27.
