Ever since Euphoria premiered in 2019, it’s been one of HBO’s most talked-about and polarizing shows because you either love it or hate it! Sam Levinson’s teen drama dives into relationships, addiction, identity, and trauma, and what it’s like to grow up.
Here’s an overview of the show:

The bold visuals and raw performances are what make Euphoria a renowned series. Now that season 3 is officially about to return, fans are already asking about a follow-up instalment. So, let’s look at what the top-level executives have to say about the same and whether or not a fourth season is actually possible!
Casey Bloys on What the Showrunner Is Planning for Euphoria
Recent comments from HBO Chairman and CEO, Casey Bloys, suggest that Euphoria might not be over just yet. He was directly asked about the show’s future, and his answer left the door open, though he didn’t exactly confirm a renewal (via Deadline).
What’s happening is Sam is finishing the third season, which I will say he’s come up with an incredible way to move all these characters ahead five years; it’s really exciting to see. We’re just starting to see the cuts, which are great. But in terms of what he wants to do next, we will have a conversation about what he’s thinking. But right now, he’s focused on finishing three and getting it out.
The decision on whether there will be an Euphoria season 4 rests largely with Sam Levinson. Though no formal talks have happened yet, it seems like HBO is open to listening, and if the creator comes up with a compelling idea, they’ll work out the logistics to launch another instalment.
Could Euphoria Season 4 Be Possible Without a Long Hiatus?

One of the biggest obstacles to a potential season 4 of Euphoria is the same issue that plagued season 3: time! The gap between seasons 2 and 3 stretched to over four years. Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi are now all movie stars, which makes it harder for all their schedules to align.
Season 3’s trailer hints at how much the show has already evolved, and with the five-year time jump, it no longer looks like the high-school drama it once was. Reassembling all of them together again would be expensive and complicated, so Euphoria should end with the upcoming instalment.
But would you still want them to return, given there’s more creative ambition on Levinson’s side and the cast’s availability?
Euphoria is streaming on HBO Max (USA).
