While the recently released Avengers: Doomsday teasers (if you want to call them that) may seem like a peek at what’s to come in the future, a new fan theory suggests that we may have it all wrong. According to a user on Reddit (via r/MarvelTheories), the mysterious codes that we see towards the end of these trailers point to them connecting to events that have happened in a now-extinct universe.

Since the beginning of Phase 5 of the MCU, there has been a sort of lull in the hype surrounding the MCU as a whole, with Marvel witnessing some of its worst-performing projects in the last couple of years. This led to a decline in popularity and interest in the franchise from the fandom.
