Erling Haaland officially introduced his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, through his newly started YouTube channel. Haaland and Johansen have kept their lives private until now, but the new video, titled Day in the Life of a pro footballer, gives us a rare glimpse into their everyday lives. One of the moments from the video received some unnecessary attention among online fans.

Haaland shared in the video that Johansen remembered seeing him many times when they were young, but he didn’t. He referenced a viral music video in which he appeared alongside his two friends, Erik Sandberg and Erik Botheim, which his girlfriend had seen him in. Johansen, who has a child with Haaland, recalled her first impression of the Manchester City footballer.

She shared, “I only knew your best friend, so he was the one who I liked first, but then when I saw you I changed my view.” She also added, “I think it’s fate but you don’t.” While it was a harmless banter between the couple, a few fans didn’t like the fact that Johansen confessed to Haaland about her crush on his best friend.

Even the infamous Andrew Tate had a comment on their relationship. While fans pointed out that Haaland had an unhappy reaction to Johansen’s comment, the couple continued the same banter-y dynamic throughout the video. At one point, Haaland joked that Johansen’s bearnaise sauce turned out to be “better than I thought.”

Haaland is one of the most promising talents in soccer currently. In the new season of the English Premier League, he has already scored 15 goals in 11 matches, taking Man. City to second place in the leaderboard. He also scored a hat-trick for Norway in the qualifier game against Israel earlier this month.

Erling Haaland joined Bryne to hone his skills in the game and spent more than ten years with the Norwegian club. He later went on to play for RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund before joining City. Isabel Johansen also played for the women’s senior team of Bryne. They met when they were both at the academy in Bryne.

Haaland called her a “good footballer,” adding that she was just like Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs. He shared, “Left wing, swinging them in.” Johansen responded to the comparison, sharing, “To be honest, I wasn’t the best with dribbling. I was more speed – a bit like him. I don’t think you are the best dribbler, but you have the speed!”

Haaland also shared in the video, “She played football, we met and all of that, it’s nice because you understand football.” She has currently paused her football career and become a food influencer on Instagram. According to Goal, he was first spotted with Johansen in November 2022 during a holiday in Marbella, Spain.

They didn’t start dating until he was playing for Dortmund. During that time, Johansen frequently visited him at his new club. A source told The Sun, “[Their relationship] seems to be pretty serious. Isabel has travelled to Germany and England to see Erling and now she’s been with him [on holiday].”

Johansen appears to be close with Haaland’s family, as she was spotted sitting alongside them during his Man. City games.

Erling Haaland Earlier Revealed That His Girlfriend Pursued Him

Erling Haaland opened up about his relationship last month with Norwegian broadcaster NRK. He shared that it was Isabel Johansen who pursued him, adding that she sent him a message. He explained, “She sent me a message. She played in the same club as me, Bryne. She was the one who checked me out. I wasn’t the one who checked her out” (via Manchester Evening News).

Haaland further shed light on one of his girlfriend’s passions, sharing, “I cook. This will probably sound a bit embarrassing to her, but she likes to play .” He shared that they both like to play Minecraft together, sharing that they built houses in the game.

He also shared that they have a mutual love for kebabs. He shared, “We go home to Bryne and order kebabs. At a wedding, you probably want some of the best food you can eat, so it could easily be kebab.” He had some dating advice for his fans, sharing:

I was single for quite a while myself. If I have any advice, it’s to get out and socialise. Meet people and get to know people. From my experience, you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you’re always looking for a girlfriend, you’ll never find one.

In July, Haaland and Johansen attended the Dolce and Gabbana Alta Sartoria fashion show. He wore a blue turtleneck and sateen trousers, while Johansen was dressed in a mesh maxi dress. They are very private about their child and have yet to reveal the baby’s name.
