What happened in Blue Lock Chapter 340 Part 1?
The previous chapter, titled “No Guard (Part 1),” started with commentators announcing the beginning of the second half. Karasu kicked off the match with a strong pass to Shidou. Upon getting blocked, Shidou passes the ball to Mikage, who redirects it to Karasu. He declares that the Blue Lock team is striking back in the second half.
The French players take note of his statement, acknowledging that Blue Lock has completely changed their strategy. They observe that the Japanese players are using a triangle passing pattern. Charles tries to tackle Shidou, but he sends the ball towards Hiori. As Blue Lock approaches the goal, Renoir notices that Karasu and Hiori are adopting a double-gamemaker system.
When the French team prepares to defend, Hiori acknowledges that his role is to change the pace, and Karasu’s job is to move the ball up front, which keeps everybody’s eyes on them, while Isagi remains free. Hiori then passes the ball behind to Karasu, who lets it pass by him to Isagi. Loki admits that he is prepared to block Isagi. But to his surprise, Isagi passes the ball to Rin.
Rin calls it a surprise combo, but Loki mocks that they’re still too slow since they’re in his range. Isagi talks about one more surprise, prompting Barou to run up beside him. Isagi calls him a “hungry lion” and passes the ball to him.
