“What an annoying rat”: Elden Ring Enemy Annoys to the Point Some Players Want FromSoft Designer Sacked

Elden Ring is the pinnacle of the Soulslike genre, and the developers did not hold back with the character designs of enemy types. FromSoftware has built a reputation for torturing the gaming community, but some standouts have made players rage and occasionally quit.

Designing enemies is no easy job let alone working on their attacks and animations. There are a rare few cases where the players have had enough that made them call out not only the developers but the designers. The Soulslike genre is not made for casual gamers; this enemy further proves it.

FromSoftware single-handedly pioneered the Soulslike genre, and each new project features some massive improvements that previous games do not have. The gaming community is not afraid to express their feelings and opinions about this genre, and one other enemy type has gotten on the nerves of Elden Ring players.

Enemy design can make or break the experience, and the developers can get carried away by making them look horrifying, and their attacks justify their appearance.

Whoever designed this specific enemy, attacks-wise, should never be allowed near a game studio ever again. What an annoying rat byu/Tendeza inEldenring

This enemy type can seriously harm and damage players within range and fighting this creature out in the open is an unpleasant experience. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki intended his projects to be difficult not to dissuade the gaming community from trying, but to motivate them to improve.

SUGGESTEDElden Ring Proved to be a Step in the Wrong Direction for Hidetaka Miyazaki and FromSoft’s Soulsborne Franchises

There is a strong likelihood that the developers would reflect and recycle older enemy designs. The recent promo for Shadow of the Erdtree expansion featured an enemy variant that is seemingly inspired by the Bloodborne franchise which is the developers’ way to honor what came before.

FromSoftware Should Use the Feedback From Elden Ring to Avoid Making the Same Mistake

It can be frustrating to encounter a powerful foe and not have any other choice but to face it without fear. The reasoning of Miyazaki is sound but some players lack the set of skills to advance and the developers should at least consider dialing it down.

Hidetaka Miyazaki had a clear vision of what he wanted to make and thought of everything down to the most minute detail. Not everyone is looking forward to being demolished by regular enemies in a Soulslike game and the developers should realize that.

SUGGESTED“Oh my God it’s busted”: New Elden Ring Build Type is Broken and Makes a Mockery of Shadow of the Erdtree’s Difficulty

There is a fine line between making a game extremely difficult to the point where it seems impossible to finish and making it hard enough for players to endure and overcome. Miyazaki wants to apply everything the studio learned and make smaller projects moving forward to showcase the signature difficulty of the studio.

Perhaps all of these negative comments will reach the offices of FromSoftware and make them think twice about how to proceed forward without the community turning against them. These enemy variants are meant to motivate the players but are doing the opposite.
