More than a month after its acclaimed debut on Disney+, Marvel Studios finally gives fans the chance to watch the first episode of Wonder Man for free. At the moment, the Yahya Abdul-Mateen II-led superhero series has now become one of the studio’s highest-rated Disney+ shows to date. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 108 reviews.
“Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry,” reads the official synopsis.
How to watch the first episode of Wonder Man for free?
For MCU fans who have no access to Disney+, you can now watch the first episode of Wonder Man on Marvel Entertainment’s official YouTube channel. The episode, titled “Matinee,” has a total runtime of 32 minutes and 47 seconds.
Wonder Man was executive-produced and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: Brand New Day). Cretton also served as a co-creator alongside showrunner Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Community). The ensemble cast featured Emmy Award winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, Demetrius Grosse as Eric Williams, Byron Bowers, and Lauren Glazier, with returning MCU stars Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery and Arian Moayed as P. Cleary.
All eight episodes of Wonder Man are still available for streaming on Disney+.
