Dune: Part Three’s ticket sales have gone live, but fans are facing an unexpected issue. Multiple technical glitches are making it difficult for moviegoers to secure a seat at theaters. Needless to say, fans have taken to social media to voice their complaints.
Tickets for Dune: Part Three in all IMAX and premium large format screenings are now on sale. However, fans are struggling to get their hands on them. Shortly after the sale went live, multiple ticket booking websites have been experiencing technical difficulties. Many social media users have reported website crashes and other booking issues.
One fan on X, @VGSnaps2, complained, “Everything crashed and frozen at the stroke of noon. You guys, this really sucks trying to get tickets. What an awful experience. So disappointing,” Another, @twilightsdtr, reported, “waited 30 minutes in the line for dune 3 tickets as soon as they sent me to the website it crashed and said sold out.”
A third X user, @jeanbunjavi, joked, “Trying to get Dune 3 tickets and I am going to become the Joker.” @mr_heartstone15 recalled their experience with the booking, sharing, “Waiting in a 40 minute queue time to buy Dune part 3 tickets, turning head to my tv for 40 seconds then turning back to see the time now says MORE THAN AN HOUR.”
@sabeanaaaa shared that the AMC app is not opening, with another user, @phillip_tho, raging, “I FINALLY got my DUNE 3 tickets NO THANKS TO YOU AMC!!!!”
Dune: Part Three is already proving to be one of the year’s biggest movie events
Dune: Part Three is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2026. Some tickets for IMAX 70mm screenings of the movie in select cities went live on April 6 and were sold out within minutes. The film has also been granted a three-week exclusivity period for IMAX theatres over Avengers: Doomsday. This is because Dune 3 was filmed specifically in the IMAX 70mm format.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Three is the final film of his Dune trilogy. It stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, and more. This installment is based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah. It arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026, in IMAX.
