The recent wildfires in LA almost wiped out the entirety of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, causing over 150K people to evacuate. But amidst all the destruction, The Bachelor mansion in Agoura Hills, which is also used for The Bachelorette show, was largely untouched by the scale of the wildfires.

However, this wasn’t the case back in 2018, as due to the gravity of the California wildfires, which caused an estimated death of 85 people, the iconic mansion’s fate was unknown for a while.

In the wake of the California wildfires in 2018, considered the deadliest and the most destructive in California’s recorded history, a reported 18,000 structures went up in flames. At the time, the producers of The Bachelor expressed that they were unaware of the state of Agoura Hills home while showcasing their concern for all the families that were affected by the disaster.

Their statement read (via EW):
The Bachelor Mansion is a private home in one of the current burn areas of Los Angeles. The area has been closed to traffic so we do not know the current status of the home. It is primarily a private residence, and our main concern is with the family who has been displaced, their neighbors, and all the communities impacted by this tragic fire. We thank the tireless efforts of the first responders here in Los Angeles County and across the State.
Later it was revealed that the mansion did sustain damage, as the secondary home on the residence, which was primarily used by the production staff, was completely destroyed. Other than that, the mansion escaped the wildfires largely unharmed, thus causing no delays in the production of the latter seasons.

As for the recent wildfires, even though a notable portion of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood was destroyed, the popular mansion once again survived the flames. However, as opposed to The Bachelor season 29, which premiered in its usual time window, the spin-off, The Bachelorette, has been reportedly paused for Summer 2025 (via Deadline).

Considering the spin-off has a history of airing in July, ABC issued that the show will not return this summer. But this isn’t to say it has been canceled, and according to certain insiders, the show could return later this very year.
