Sony seems to be gearing up for the start of marketing on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. An updated release window for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie’s first trailer has just been shared.
Anticipation is at an all-time high for Brand New Day, which will be the first new Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland in almost five years. Despite the fervor surrounding Brand New Day, outside of a few behind-the-scenes images and teasers, Sony has yet to begin properly marketing the superhero sequel. A trailer is still nowhere to be found, even with the movie hitting theaters in just over four months.

However, it’s beginning to look like fans won’t be waiting much longer for the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer. According to @JuanEditz on X, “a bunch of cosplayers” were filming “a Brand New Day announcement video” at a Sony event in Mexico yesterday (March 8). This strongly suggests that the trailer will be released sooner rather than later, with @JuanEditz holding firm on his belief that it will arrive “this month.”

There has been a lot of speculation within the MCU fandom as to when the first trailer for Brand New Day may drop. Many have begun believing that Sony will use next month’s CinemaCon as the start of promotion for the Spider-Man sequel, since that is also where it dropped the first teaser for 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
CinemaCon runs from Monday, April 13, to Thursday, April 16, this year at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sony will be kicking things off for the event’s opening night, promising “an exclusive presentation highlighting its upcoming releases,” per CinemaCon’s website.
Trusted scooper MAJESTIC_ucm previously stated on X that CinemaCon “will surely feature the trailer” for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, meaning that the longest fans will have to wait is April 13.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s seventh appearance in the MCU as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Production on the superhero sequel lasted from August to December 2025, with Destin Daniel Cretton in the director’s chair.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
