For all the things Scream 7 gets wrong, the soundtrack isn’t one of them. Spencer Charnas, Ice Nine Kills, and McKenna Grace joined forces for the original track, Twisting Their Knife, with Grace also pulling off double duty by starring in the seventh installment in the movie.
Moreover, the movie brings original Scream composer Marco Beltrami back on board, marking this a reunion between the OG creatives, whether it’s Scream scribe Kevin Williamson or OG Scream queen Neve Campbell. With the soundtrack of the movie now available to stream on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, here’s an overview of Scream 7‘s tracklist.
Jessie Murph – Criminal
Stella Lefty – The Kill
Cigarettes After Sex – Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Red Right Hand
Royel Otis – Who’s Your Boyfriend
David Hewson – Breaking News
Turnstile – Look Out For Me
Moby – First Cool Hive
Marco Beltrami – Sidney’s Lament
Gus Blacl – Don’t Fear The Reaper
Vindigo – Enuff
Sueco – Tearranging Scars
Beabadoobe – Take a Bite
DLG – Scatterbrain
The Jezabels – The Brink
Hans Zimmer – Brothers
Dan Toliver – Creepin
Ice Nine Kills (ft. McKenna Grace) – Twisting the Knife
The soundtrack is undoubtedly a win for the horror fans, something which can’t be said for the movie itself. But despite proving to be the lowest-rated entry in the entire franchise, this hasn’t hindered its box office prospects.

Scream 7 Excels at Box Office Despite Critical Woes
Although box office trackers initially projected a $40-50 million opening for the seventh installment in the series, the movie has now surged past the $60 million mark at the domestic front, marking a new franchise record.
Compared to Scream 6‘s $44.5 million opening, the new movie has registered $64.1 million in the North American market and a total of $97 million from its worldwide opening (via Deadline). Furthermore, with the movie now landing a B- Cinemascore despite the less-than-thrilling critical reception, there’s a good chance it won’t fall off the cliff in terms of box office legs.
All in all, it’s on a trajectory to become the highest-grossing Scream movie in the franchise, and it’s safe to say the critical reception of the previous two movies certainly helped boost this one’s box office prospects.
What’s Next for Scream? Here’s Everything We Know
While this movie’s production was far from smoothsailing due to the exit of the original creative force, which is certainly reflected in the final product, the duo of Kevin Williamson and Neve Campbell are indeed eying a return for more.

Following its box-office heights, an eighth movie seems all but confirmed at this point. As for what’s next, Williamson previously confessed that he and Campbell were spit-balling ideas for the next movie, noting she had some great plans for its potential direction (via Deadline).
When you’re sitting on the set at 3 in the morning, you’re like, ‘Well, what would Scream 8 be about?’ Neve had this great idea, and everyone seemed to run with it. So yeah, if this movie works and people want it, we’re here for the fans. So, if they want it, we’ll certainly give it to them.
Even though there’s little to go by when it comes to how the next Scream movie will unfold, considering the core main cast survived the entire ordeal, especially Courteney Cox’s Gale, expect them to return for the next chapter.
