Samara Weaving has garnered a lot of attention following reports that she could be joining the MCU. Alongside the news, rumors about other potential X-Men reboot cast members joining the franchise have also gained momentum.
The Australian actress is reportedly confirmed to play Emma Frost. Although there has been no official confirmation from Marvel, the news has drawn reactions from scoopers like Apocalyptic Horseman. Taking to their X (Formerly Twitter) account, the scooper wrote, “I heard about Samara recently so if it that was true…” An earlier report claimed that director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige reportedly confirmed Weaving for the role as well.

The X account Apocalyptic Horseman also shared another major prediction for MCU fans. In the same post, they wrote, “I’m also hearing Cooper as Cyclops and Tom as Xavier.” The two actors the account was referring to were Cooper Hoffman and Tom Pelphrey. There have also been rumors about these two actors joining the MCU. However, nothing has been officially confirmed, so fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt.
Based on Apocalyptic Horseman’s track record, the scooper is well known for their predictions about Marvel and DC. Previously, they accurately predicted several Marvel news items. Back in 2025, when reports circulated that Robert Pattinson was the new Ghost Rider, the scooper also pointed out that he wouldn’t play the character. At the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con, his prediction came true when Marvel announced Ryan Gosling as the lead in its Ghost Rider movie.
Who else is rumored to join Marvel’s X-Men reboot?
Interestingly, these are not the only rumors coming out about a potential future X-Men movie. According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Charles Melton is reportedly confirmed to play Hank McCoy or Beast in the movie. Additionally, Cailee Spaeny is rumored to play Rogue.
The rumors are likely to excite Marvel fans. Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, including the X-Men film rights, in 2019. This instilled hope among fans that mutants would finally become a part of the franchise. But seven years down the line, there is still no confirmed news of an X-Men standalone project.
