The Season 4 finale of Perfect Match on Netflix was surprisingly unexpected. Feeling more like an experiment rather than a genuine way of finding their true match, it was eventful to say the least. While many of the fan favorite couples made it to the finale, only one of them emerged as the winners.
But before we get to know who won this latest season, which premiered on Netflix in May, let’s take a deep dive into everything that happened before the final vote. Here’s a recap of Perfect Match Season 4 Episode 8!
Everything that Happened on the Last Day of Perfect Match Season 4
The day before the last day, all couples were tested again with the final compatibility challenge. The challenge involved couples going over a course of four hurdles, which involved: making a cylindrical tower, eating four unsavory meals (fried worms, a block of cheese, a cinnamon bun, and spicy fruit), moving a wooden block, and building a wooden heart.
Dave and Sophie won the challenge and landed a nice date. Later in the boardroom, they decided to bring back Jimmy P and Bri as two singles who were to immediately choose their dates. Jimmy chose Ally, and Bri went on a date with her ex, Demari.
When they returned, Ally and Demari were asked to select the contestants they would like to continue with. In a shocking twist, Ally went back to Jimmy P, and Demari chose Marissa despite telling Bri he still loved her. Hashim and Bri were sent home.
On the final day of Perfect Match Season 4, all of the couples and singles were called back to the house. Things got a little tense when Kayla left Weston to go sit with Chris, and Meckenzie revealed that they had been texting each other despite not being allowed to.
It was revealed that they were using Spotify to do so, which led to the rest of the contestants losing their Spotify privileges. All these events highlight a structural flaw in the show’s format: when genuine chemistry forms outside the approved game boundaries, it exposes the show as a highly orchestrated TV competition rather than a natural dating environment.
Other couples were questioned, too, especially Ally and Jimmy P, when Hashim revealed he and Ally were intimate and Ally had kept that information a secret. There was also footage of them getting intimate within their rooms, which raises the question of how far reality TV shows will go for the sake of entertainment.
Which Couple Won the All-Paid 7-Day Vacation?

When things cooled down at the finale night, host Nick Lachey asked everyone to go to the boardroom and cast their votes. While it was not revealed which couple won how many votes, it was Dave Hand and Sophie Willett who became the winning match!
The night ended with everyone celebrating. Sophie later exclaimed, “I said I wanted a red flag, and he definitely looks like a red flag, but he’s the greenest flag of them all, and he’s mine.”
The pair earned an all-expense-paid week-long trip to wherever they wanted to go. The end credits revealed they took a trip to the Maldives. Dave previously appeared in Married at First Sight Australia, and Sophie was in Love Is Blind UK.
Who is Still Together After Perfect Match Season 4?

Perfect Match Season 4 has come to an end, but the question remains: which couple is still together? Unfortunately, none of the couples who made it to the finale are together now, as Tudum reveals.
Dave and Sophie, the winning couple, were worried about the geographical distance between them, which eventually led to the end of their love life. Lack of communication, made worse by the time difference, made them part ways.
Jimmy P and Ally also parted ways after the show despite trying to stay connected. They realized they were not ready to commit and eventually moved on. Demari and Marissa, the power couple of the season, also broke up. While Demari is single, Marissa is married now and planning to move to Japan with her husband.
Despite being the fan favorite couple, Jimmy S and Alison are not together but are trying to figure things out. They took a break but are now trying to work it out.
Yamen and Natalie, who went from friends to matching with each other, are also not together anymore. Natalie went on to date Chris after the show and now seems to have become besties with Nick, with whom she had matched the first time in the show.
All of the contestants, apart from Marissa, seem to be single now.

Given how the show ended, it is surprising that none of the contestants actually found their perfect match. For a reality TV show that wants to stay grounded and promote actual connection, it is ironic how no couple actually makes it through in the real world. This raises the question of whether the contestants and the crew actually want to find love and promote companionship, or if it’s all for entertainment and making money.
