Episode 4, titled, Clarisse Blows Up Everything, hints that this episode will be focused on Clarisse. In episode 3, we saw her on a quest forthe Golden Fleece with an army of fallen soldiers. Clarisse, once a rival, will likely step into a more heroic role. Episode 3 also left a teaser in the post-credit scene.
The teaser showed Clarisse with her army reaching a mysterious island. Annabeth, Percy, and Tyson likely join Clarisse’s Iron Ship. We also see Clarisse and Percy in a duel on an unknown island. Then Clarisse declares that they have entered the Sea of Monsters. The last thing we see is a giant sea monster emerging from the sea, likely Scylla and Charybdis.
Star Walker Scobell, who plays Percy, described the upcoming episode. In an interview with Den of Geek at SCAD TVfest in February 2025, said,
It’s its own movie, to be honest. I remember that was the first table read we did, where we hadn’t read it beforehand. They wanted us all to read it there and experience it for the first time with them.
It will be one of the most pivotal moments from The Sea of Monsters, the encounter with Scylla and Charybdis, the twin sea monsters guarding the entrance to the Sea of Monsters. Percy and his friends must sail past these dangerous creatures. It also follows a major ocean battle.
The show continues to adapt Rick Riordan’s books closely while also expanding its cinematic scale. With Clarisse’s next moves and sea monster encounters, this episode is set to be unforgettable.
