Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers from One Piece Episode 1174.
In One Piece, some characters do not just arrive at the right time; they can also completely change the mood of a battle. After the darker events of Episode 1173, I was curious to see how Elbaf would respond to the Holy Knights and their terrifying plan.
One Piece Episode 1174 finally gives Elbaf a reason to fight back. Dorry and Brogy return to the battlefield, and Scopper Gaban arrives with the Giant Warrior Pirates. After watching the episode, I felt that the Elbaf warriors were finally moving toward a major counterattack.
Dorry and Brogy’s Heroic Return Is Exactly What Elbaf Needed
The biggest moment for me was easily the return of Dorry and Brogy. Episode 1173 of One Piece left Elbaf in a terrible situation. Saul was struggling to save the sleepwalking children, while Killingham’s MMAs were spreading across the region. Episode 1174 finally shows the giants pushing back.
Elbaf was attacked by several MMAs, and many warriors got injured. Then Dorry and Brogy arrive. Their return was one of my favorite moments because it combines classic One Piece comedy with a real payoff. The two had been absent because they drank too much and were busy throwing up the alcohol. It is ridiculous, but it fits them perfectly.
Once they return, they use a combined Hakoku to destroy the monsters. I loved seeing them step up because they are not just powerful warriors. They represent Elbaf’s long warrior tradition, so their return feels important to the island’s story.
Then the episode goes one step further. Scopper Gaban arrives with the Giant Warrior Pirates. That was the moment when I felt the balance was finally starting to change. The MMAs had looked almost unstoppable, but now Elbaf has Dorry, Brogy, Gaban, and the Giant Warrior Pirates ready to fight back.
One Piece Episode 1174 Gives Elbaf a Much-Needed Boost
The episode also moves several other storylines forward. Franky and Ripley reach an ancient scientific facility and reunite with Lilith and Bonney. Lilith estimates that the building is around 3,000 years old, which immediately caught my attention.

One Piece has always connected ancient history with advanced technology, so I doubt this facility is just a random discovery. Lilith even decides to use it as her new base, making me curious about what the Straw Hats could eventually find inside.
Meanwhile, the MMAs continue attacking different parts of Elbaf. Saul is still desperately trying to save the sleepwalking children. His attempts to stop them are made even harder when a Fenrir appears and protects them. That scene reminded me why the previous episode worked so well. The children are still in serious danger, and the Holy Knights are still a big threat to Elbaf.
One Piece Episode 1174 Final Verdict
After watching One Piece Episode 1174, I would say that this episode provides much-awaited payoff without taking away the tension. Dorry and Brogy’s return was easily my favorite part. Their entrance was funny, powerful, and perfectly timed. The appearance of Gaban along with the Giant Warrior Pirates has made the end even more exciting.

Most importantly, the episode makes Elbaf feel ready to fight back. The children are still trapped, the MMAs are still attacking, and the Holy Knights remain a serious threat. But after watching the giants struggle for so long, seeing their strongest warriors finally unite gave me a reason to feel hopeful.
For me, One Piece Episode 1174 was a strong Elbaf episode because it gives us the hope we were waiting for while making the upcoming conflict even more exciting.
