After the harrowing couple of episodes showing the threat of the Ferryman fast approaching Angelo, in the most recent episode of Memory of a Killer, it was revealed that it may be none other than FBI Agent Linda Grant who is the season’s antagonist.
And since the entire season was building up to this revelation, fans are now eagerly waiting for this Patrick Dempsey-led series to release its second-last installment, which is Episode 9. While this particular episode, titled ‘Betrayal’, was supposed to be released on February 16, 2026, a series scheduling issue was reported by a spokesperson from Fox (via USA Today), which led to the episode being delayed and released on February 23, 2026.

With the recent revelation that the main antagonist who had been targeting Angelo was none other than Agent Linda Grant, the most natural thing that everyone expects him to probably do next is put it all on the line to ensure his family’s safety, while also keeping Maria as his top priority.
Since he knows that Grant has access to an absurd amount of FBI resources, Angelo will have to go above and beyond to counter it. But at the same time, his Alzheimer’s is getting worse, which will definitely hinder his ability to react to threats as they present themselves to him in the next episode (via IMDb).
Our Opinions on Memory of a Killer So Far

Right from the beginning, Memory of a Killer has proved itself a unique offering in modern thriller TV series.
For starters, the heavy emphasis on deep psychological narrative, with the main character Angelo going through a loss of identity and self in real time, his experience of guilt, and his efforts towards redemption, is extremely well executed.
Throughout that journey, the narrative has supported this aspect while also building a background story that puts substantial odds against Angelo, making those aspects of guilt and redemption that much more impactful for the audience. And with the full-fledged revelation of the main antagonist in Episode 8, the upcoming episode will begin the conclusion of all those experiences in a high-stakes, adrenaline-pumping fashion.
All of this will further bleed into the finale, which will arrive in Episode 10, titled ‘Exposed’, which will decide whether Memory of a Killer Season 2 will happen or not.
