“I will pick an Xbox console over a Playstation every single time”: Some Xbox Fans Are Still Saying They Will Buy the New Series X Later This Year Despite the Indiana Jones Debacle

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is the latest Xbox first-party title to be ported to the PlayStation 5, and the gaming community is still coming to terms with the announcement. Not everyone is a fan of porting exclusive games to rival platforms, especially Microsoft supporters who are still delusional about the state of Xbox.

Other supporters are not taking the porting announcement all that well and are not discouraged from investing in the latest Xbox. Claims the console has better exclusive titles and a better service like Game Pass; however, recent events are not boding well for the platform.

The Xbox Community Is Not Taking the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Port All That Well

The gaming industry is a cutthroat business, and each platform has its own unique strengths. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Nintendo thrive on great first-party exclusives featured on the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch, something Microsoft could improve for the current generation of Xbox, and the recent port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an insult to injury.

Some fans are still in the coping stage and claim Sony will return the favor by porting some of its universally praised first-party exclusives, like Marvel’s Spider-Man and Helldivers 2, to the Xbox Series X and S. Unfortunately, some fans are not swayed from the thought of supporting the platform, despite the potential of Microsoft pushing its exclusive titles as multiplatform games.

Sorry, but folks aren’t gaslighting me. I will pick an Xbox console over a Playstation every single time, especially a new Xbox console. Xbox’s first-party games are, to me, better and far more exciting games for my taste, and how in the hell can I not love Game Pass!?— SenjutsuSage (@SenninSage) August 22, 2024

There is no talk or hints of Sony sharing its games with rival platforms, but nothing is impossible anymore. The Xbox player base has been on the short end of the stick for being left behind with major gaming releases like Black Myth: Wukong, and Baldur’s Gate 3, and both games in recent memory. Fans are still baffled by the lack of Final Fantasy games on the Xbox Series X/S.

Man I do feel bad for xbox fans man. This week:– They missed one of the biggest launches ever with Black Myth: Wukong– No FF16 port – Indiana Jones will come to PS5 = mixed message about the eco system– Avowed is 30 fps game on series XThey really can’t catch a break pic.twitter.com/FZxHCh5u4s— Pyo 5️⃣ (@mrpyo1) August 23, 2024

Microsoft is doing a great job of not convincing players to invest in an Xbox if Phil Spencer continues to break his promise. Initially, Spencer gave the fans his word about porting games to other platforms only to be greeted with a reality check during this year’s Gamescom.

It would be prudent if Microsoft reciprocated the community’s support with something worthwhile. Fans expressed concern for Xbox enthusiast Ryan McCaffrey after the recent announcement, constantly reminding everyone it would not happen.

Perhaps fans are attracted to the upcoming Xbox console because of its vastly superior storage and memory. Hopefully, it will be a wise investment for players interested in high-quality exclusives.

The Xbox community will take anything Microsoft throws at them. Despite recent events, the player base is still optimistic.

Hopefully, the new revision will be much more powerful than the Series S since experts claim it will not do well running upcoming games like GTA 6. Microsoft can’t drop the ball on its technical advantage, especially now.

Great innovators will continue to find ways to improve technology. Unfortunately, it will not be enough to convince others to invest outright.
