Aaron Paul reportedly joins DC’s Clayface movie cast
According to a report by Feature First, Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul has reportedly joined the cast of the upcoming movie, Clayface.
The report suggests that Paul has been cast in a brief and minor role. However, there is no confirmation on this from the actor and the makers of DC’s Clayface. If it turns out to be true, Paul will be making a move into James Gunn’s DC universe. Clayface is currently expected to come out later this year, in October.
Although a trailer for the Clayface movie was released recently, some plot points remain shrouded in mystery. Gunn has already stated that the movie is a part of DC’s first chapter, Gods and Monsters, and it is not connected to Matt Reeves’ Batman movie. But many fans are still speculating that they might get to see Robert Pattinson’s Batman in the movie, based on leaks that surfaced during its filming. Gunn spoke to IGN in February and shared details about the movie. He said, “Clayface is totally DCU. It was very outside of the grounded non-super metahuman characters in Matt’s world.”
He also clarified that the Clayface movie is “pure f***ing horror.” Gunn added that the movie carries the elements of a gross psychological horror.
DC co-CEO Peter Safran also commented on the movie and added, “The only thing that’s in Matt’s world, his Crime Saga that he’s telling, is the Batman Trilogy, the Penguin series, that’s in that lane.”
