Crimson Desert has everyone hyped, and if you own both a PC and an Xbox, there’s a smarter way to buy it. The reason is that if you end up buying the copy via the Xbox Store, you can access the copy on both your console and PC.
That saves you from buying two separate copies and paying twice for the same game. So before you hit purchase on your storefront of choice, it’s worth keeping this in mind. Also note, some users believe that the Xbox Play Anywhere page is glitched (via Reddit), so it might not end up being true.

If you happen to own various consoles, you might be aware of the problem of buying the same copies of your favorite games for each console. When you’re purchasing games, you’re technically buying a license for them. So for each platform, the licensing price needs to be paid in whole.
When you buy games from the Xbox Store, you’re essentially purchasing an Xbox license. If you also own a Windows PC, that license comes with an added perk through the Xbox app via Xbox Play Anywhere.
In many cases, games bought on the Xbox Store grant access on both console and PC under the same license, as long as you’re logged in with the same account. That means you don’t need to buy the game twice to play it across platforms.
If the platform is PlayStation, then you’ll need to purchase separate copies for console and PC, since there’s no shared ecosystem. In that sense, Xbox deserves credit for offering a more consumer-friendly approach that saves players money.
If Crimson Desert gets the Xbox Play Anywhere tag, then it would be foolish to miss out on an opportunity like that. That said, you’re free to choose the storefront of your choice, but Xbox might give you the best deal.
Here’s Why Crimson Desert Is Worth the Hype
The world is going to be huge. | Image Credit: Pearl Abyss
Crimson Desert has been mysterious to many gamers until now, and it comes with a lot of promises. For instance, it’s meant to provide a world that is rumored to be twice the size of Red Dead Redemption 2. And on top of that, there are sky islands that you can explore simultaneously.
Furthermore, the single-player experience also includes the ability to ride a dragon, a raptor, or even pilot a mech, which is genre-breaking. If that isn’t enough to pique your interest, you can even own a house and cook within the game as well.
Your shinnegans don’t end here, because you can even swing around like Spider-Man or glide like Batman. All these things may seem too good to be true, but the promise is enough to get anyone hyped up.
