Spread the love

A new incident related to Steam has exposed achievement data for more than 145 unreleased or unannounced games. The leaked data reveals a ton of projects that developers and studios have yet to officially reveal. The new information was found on achievement-tracking services such as Exophase and SteamDB after previously private Steam API data apparently became accessible.

The exposed data includes a ton of upcoming titles, including several games that have already been announced but still have plenty of details under wraps. Some achievement lists reportedly contain potential spoilers, while others simply confirm that Steam infrastructure exists for the project.

Other affected projects include Last Epoch, Lords of the Fallen II, Nivalis Nights, Road Kings, Squadron 42, Tales of Eternia Remastered, Terranigma, Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, Touhou Kyoumakou, Tropico 7, Valor Mortis, War Dogs, and Warhammer Survivors.

There is also a collection of projects that have not received an official announcement. Because some entries only have placeholder achievements or App IDs, their existence here should not be treated as confirmed releases.

Among the reported unannounced projects are:

Two unannounced Warhammer games

An unannounced Avengers game

A Balatro sequel or spin-off

An unannounced Brawl Stars game

A new Candy Crush title

An unannounced Dune game

A new Heroes of Newerth project

A Nickelodeon life-sim inspired by Animal Crossing

A new Raiden Fighters collection

A Sea of Thieves sequel or spin-off

A Shrek 2 remaster or other Shrek project

An unannounced Rurouni Kenshin game

There are also stranger entries, including Penis Bird, Custom Hobo, Fright Train, Stupid Never Dies, HoloTrials, Order of the Sink Star, and Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest.

The incident is believed to stem from a Valve API error and not the work of a hacker. Exophase owner Mike Bendel said on the ReserEra forums that achievement information that should have been private suddenly became accessible, allowing automated services to collect it.

These leaked Steam achievements are not definitive proof that every listed game will launch. But there sure are a ton of games. Which of these games are you interested in the most? Let us know in the comments!
