Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been a highly anticipated video game ever since it was first announced last year in June 2022. Considering how the first instalment in the series, simply called Dragon’s Dogma, was released over a decade ago in 2012, it was inevitable for fans to be extremely excited for any concrete updates regarding the upcoming sequel. Well, similar to the fate that most modern games face, Dragon’s Dogma 2 also finds itself in the midst of a brand new leak.
However, the most interesting and hilarious aspect of the latest Dragon’s Dogma 2 leak is actually kind of unique. In fact, it was not even an unofficial leaker or hacker who was the source of this update. Instead, it was the ratings board PEGI that seemingly revealed the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2, and seeing how this was done right after Capcom itself officially announced a showcase for the game, it just makes the whole scenario even more amusing.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Seems to Be Coming Out in March 2024
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is coming out in March 2024, according to a potential reveal by an official ratings board.
Earlier today, Capcom officially announced that it will host a dedicated showcase for Dragon’s Dogma 2 later this month, and fans were already quite ecstatic about seeing more footage and getting more details about the anticipated RPG sequel. But just a short while after that, the game’s release date seemingly, and probably accidentally, got leaked by PEGI.
According to the extremely short teaser trailer from the developer and publisher, the event is set to take place on November 28, and there will be an extensive look at the title, which will last for 15 minutes.
Of course, Capcom was undoubtedly saving the release date to be announced during the showcase, but PEGI apparently decided to ruin the element of surprise by taking matters into its own hands and revealing that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will finally come out on March 22, 2024.

Probably realizing its mistake or getting contacted by Capcom, PEGI removed the listing for Dragon’s Dogma 2 from its website around an hour after it was posted. But the ratings board should have known that, like with all things shared on the Internet, even if they are immediately deleted, there is going to be at least one person who manages to take a screenshot and make it eternally available online for everyone else to enjoy.
The screenshot of PEGI’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been posted on various platforms, including ResetEra and X, on which other details about the upcoming RPG are visible as well.
According to the potential leaked information, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be rated 18 in Europe for “Violence” and “In-Game Purchases,” under which its release dates and platforms were listed. Capcom’s RPG sequel will apparently not be coming out on last-gen consoles and will only be available to play on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Moreover, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on the same date for all of those platforms.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase Will Take Place on November 28
Capcom is all set to host the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase 2023 on November 28.
Capcom has also shared a post on the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 website regarding the upcoming showcase, which states that the “Broadcast time” for the event will be 1 PM PST on November 28 later this month. The announcement hypes players up by saying:
Set forth on your grand adventure, Arisen! Get the latest info on this action-RPG designed to place player choice at the heart of the gameplay experience.
Moreover, according to the post about the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Showcase, the event will be personally led by “director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.”

They will both be presenting “all the latest info and gameplay in” the scheduled showcase for Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is going to last for “approximately 15” minutes.

Fortunately, taking the potential leak by PEGI into consideration, Capcom will not be following the release model that it did with Monster Hunter Rise, which was initially launched on only one platform, with others getting the game much later, because Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be unleashed on every current-gen platform at once.
Not much else has been revealed about the upcoming sequel, but considering how the game’s map is supposed to be four times larger than the original’s, it could be one of the biggest titles of 2024.
