Simu Liu has shared some thoughts about Avengers: Doomsday.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday has wrapped production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the film will arrive in United States theaters next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, follows in 2027.
What did Simu Liu say about Avengers: Doomsday?
Liu, who plays Shang-Chi in the MCU, said that working on Avengers: Doomsday was a “dream come true” when asked by ScreenRant‘s Ash Crossan to describe the film in just three words.
He continued, “I mean, there are just so many actors in it, and getting to work with those people as peers is really incredible because I grew up watching so many of them…It feels, in a lot of ways, like a love letter to the entire genre of superhero movies. And I think there’s something really fun about that.”
The actor also shared that Avengers: Doomsday is “for all the misfits and the weirdos and the underdogs that grew up reading comic books and feeling like there was hope for them somehow – that it didn’t matter if they didn’t fit in – I think there’s just always a special place in my heart for that entire genre.”
Official plot details for Avengers: Doomsday remain under wraps at this time.
