Avengers: Doomsday will take a page out of the Infinity War playbook with its ending, per a new report on the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Infinity War is the only Avengers movie to end in a loss for the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, with Thanos successfully acquiring all six Infinity Stones and snapping away half of all life in the universe. However, since Infinity War was the first of a two-part conclusion to Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga, the Avengers came back stronger than ever in 2019’s Endgame, undoing Thanos’ snap and stopping the Mad Titan for good.
With Infinity War and Endgame both making over $2 billion worldwide and receiving critical acclaim, Marvel Studios is keen on replicating that success with its next two-part Avengers crossover, so much so that it will reportedly be reusing the whole “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes lose, bad guys’ win” in Doomsday.
What reportedly happens at the end of Avengers: Doomsday?
According to MAJESTIC_ucm on X, “there are no survivors” in Avengers: Doomsday. “No Reed, no Tobey, no Hugh, no one. Only Doom survives thanks to the power he extracted from Loki. In the final battle of Latveria 828, everyone dies as a result of the final incursion between worlds 616 and 10005,” the scooper wrote.
Using Loki’s power, Doctor Doom will create “Battleworld; it’s literally an artificial planet created from fragments of many universes in the multiverse. The planet has regions or realms, and each one is a piece of another universe,” explained MAJESTIC_ucm.

The scooper then explained in a second post on X how this shocking cliffhanger ending will be dealt with in Avengers: Secret Wars: “Dr. Doom revives everyone who died in the Battle of Latveria, including characters from other Earths. Dr. Strange survives thanks to being in the Dark Dimension, where time and space don’t exist. He allies himself with Dr. Doom, recognizing that Victor has shaped reality to his liking and is now seen as a god.”
Secret Wars will reportedly deal with Doctor Strange devising a plan to betray Doctor Doom by restoring “the consciousness of several characters, including Reed, Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland), Wolverine, Captain America (Sam Wilson), and others,” so that together they can overthrow Doom.
