Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly ruin a Marvel Studios Disney+ show that ended with a popular Marvel Cinematic Universe character undergoing a major change.
Since their launch on Disney+ in 2019, MCU shows have largely tied into the wider Multiverse Saga, with characters popping up in future crossover movies like The Marvels, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Thunderbolts*. However, one show that laid the earliest groundwork for the Multiverse Saga, the two-season sci-fi hit Loki, will reportedly have its ending undone in Doomsday.
Which Disney+ MCU show’s ending gets ruined in Avengers: Doomsday?
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello on X, Avengers: Doomsday “ruins” Loki Season 2’s ending, which saw the titular God of Mischief become the new overseer of the MCU Multiverse.

MyTimeToShineHello didn’t share how exactly Doomsday will ruin Loki’s ending, although the scooper may have already revealed the answer in a previous X post. Two days ago, the scooper stated that “Doctor Doom kills everyone at the TVA, including Loki,” in the upcoming Avengers movie.
With Loki dead, there will be no one left to oversee the Multiverse, which could allow Doctor Doom to claim that power ahead of Avengers: Secret Wars. It’s unclear when exactly Doom killing Loki might take place in the movie, although an earlier report from the scooper claims that Thor and Steve Rogers will be on a “side quest to find Loki and the TVA” in Doomsday.
It’s possible that after Thor and Steve find Loki, Doom kills him, with the God of Mischief’s death serving as a cliffhanger ending for Doomsday. Of course, since MyTimeToShineHello is not 100% accurate, fans should take his report with a grain of salt until officially confirmed or debunked by Marvel Studios or the movie itself.
Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role as Loki in Avengers: Doomsday, marking his tenth appearance in the MCU as the fan-favorite character. He previously appeared in the movies Thor (2011), Marvel’s The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity World (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), as well as the series Loki (2021-23) and What If…? (2021-24).
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
