DC‘s new Absolute Universe line has been a big hit for the comic publisher. Born of the will of Darkseid, the dark reality tests familiar heroes, seeing if they remain themselves in the wake of different circumstances. Absolute Batman, for instance, presents a Bruce Wayne who is not rich and only lost his father.
Unsurprisingly, DC Comics is expanding the line in 2026. To that end, they announced more information about the new series at the annual ComicsPRO event, However, they also confirmed the first Absolute Universe crossover event for late 2026..
Absolute Green Arrow

Absolute Green Arrow is one of the most eagerly anticipated new comics of 2026. It is also one of the most mysterious. This mystery comes from the identity of the Absolute Universe Green Arrow. This is in question because Oliver Queen, the classic Green Arrow, was killed on his first mission during the Absolute Evil one-shot special.
However, artist Rafael Albuquerque shed some light on this question, describing the book as a horror title. Further clarification was added by a new description of the series by DC Comics.
“Without the trick arrows… without the money… without mercy, what’s left is the Absolute Hunter! A serial killer is slaughtering corrupt billionaires, and the only clue to his identity is the green arrows protruding from the victims’ bodies. Absolute Green Arrow #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on May 20, 2026.
Absolute Catwoman

Selina Kyle was introduced early on in Absolute Batman as a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. They become more than friends, however, yet Selina left Bruce and became a notorious cat burglar. Despite this, she returned to Gotham City to help Bruce in his battle with Bane However, she left Gotham with a sample of the Venom drug Bruce had meant to destroy.
Absolute Catwoman will continue Selina’s adventures. DC released the following synopsis of the series.

First Absolute Universe Event
Little has been said about the first Absolute Universe event beyond it existing. DC announced the event will release in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will also have the title and story details revealed at a later date. It can be said, however, it will feature Absolute Batman and the other heroes joining forces for the first time.
