Sylvester Stallone’s mob boss is back on the board. As of August 16, 2026, Tulsa King sits at No. 10 on Paramount+’s global Top 10 TV shows, according to FlixPatrol. The Taylor Sheridan crime drama follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York capo exiled to Oklahoma after 25 years inside, who builds a fresh empire out of vape shops, dive bars, and eventually bourbon.
Critics have stayed friendly across three seasons, but the audience has cooled. Season 3 landed 83% with critics and a much softer 59% from viewers on RT. That gap explains why it never became the next Yellowstone. Sheridan’s Western actually started smaller, with the 2018 premiere drawing 2.8 million viewers.
It finished as an event, with 11.4 million viewers tuning in for the 2024 series finale across cable and streaming (via Variety). Tulsa King opened hotter, at 3.7 million, but simply never climbed like Sheridan’s Yellowstone (via THR).
Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King Joins His Three Other Shows on Top 10
Taylor Sheridan owns four of the ten slots on the worldwide Paramount+ chart today. Lioness is the outright No. 1, Yellowstone holds second, Dutton Ranch sits at sixth, and Tulsa King cracks the top 10. Here is the full Paramount+ global Top 10 for August 16, 2026, per FlixPatrol:
Lioness
Yellowstone
UFC
South Park
SEAL Team
Dutton Ranch
Criminal Minds
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
The Legend of Korra
Tulsa King
Each of the three Sheridan shows above Tulsa King has something it doesn’t. People had to revisit Lioness, as a third season premiered on August 2 and is currently dropping episodes weekly. So the chart likely gets a jolt every Sunday. It also arrived with an 85% critics score and a 87% audience score, the strongest viewer response the Zoe Saldaña thriller has ever posted.
Yellowstone‘s popularity barely needs explaining. Two years after ending, it still out-streams brand-new originals, which is the sort of staying power Sheridan has yet to manufacture twice. And Dutton Ranch is essentially borrowing that goodwill, with Beth and Rip’s new adventure.

Tulsa King Season 4 wrapped filming on March 30, 2026, with Sylvester Stallone posting an emotional set video calling it “the best season yet.” He followed that in April with an Instagram first look, writing that the show “is being edited now AND COMING YOUR WAY SOON.”
Paramount+ still hasn’t dated it, though a fall 2026 arrival is the widely expected window. In the meantime, a two-disc Season 3 Blu-ray lands September 8 (via Collider). Story-wise, Dwight ended Season 3 on top and boxed in at once.
He broke liquor mogul Jeremiah Dunmire and secured a federal license for the Montague distillery. However, it also left him being owned by FBI Agent Musso. Season 4 will reveal what that debt costs him. The spinoff to the show is further along than most fans realize.
Frisco King, starring Samuel L. Jackson as hitman Russell Lee Washington Jr., has already finished filming. Originally developed as NOLA King, it was relocated from New Orleans to the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas.
