Disney+ is gearing up to debut the fifth season of a popular Spider-Man animated series ahead of the arrival of Spider-Man: Brand New Day next month. Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends follows different young versions of the fan-favorite web-slinging superhero as they unite to take down villains threatening their city.
Spidey and His Amazing Friends Season 5 hits Disney+ in July
Season 5 of the animated Spider-Man series will arrive in the streaming platform’s catalog on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Spidey and His Amazing Friends is a preschool superhero series from Marvel and Disney Jr. It follows grade school versions of Peter Parker (Spidey), Miles Morales (Spin), and Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider), as they work together as Team Spidey and fight dangerous villains in New York City.
In Season 5 of Spidey and His Amazing Friends, the show will feature a new story arc called Rescue-Webs. It will also give Team Spidey new rescue equipment, including a Spider-Man-themed firetruck. Additionally, the season will see appearances from Rocket, Groot, Mr. Fantastic, and Silk.
Harrison Wilcox serves as the show’s executive producer. Season 1 premiered on August 6, 2021, and the subsequent seasons were released annually. Across its four seasons, the series has aired 103 episodes, with each season featuring a different number of episodes. The first two editions were directed by Darren Bachynski, while Mitch Stookey helmed the third and fourth installments.
The voice cast of Spidey and His Amazing Friends features Alkaio Thiele, Carter Young, Audrey Bennett, Melanie Minichino, Gabrielle Ruiz, Kari Wahlgren, and Scott Porter, among others. The show also spawned a spin-off series named Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, which currently airs on Disney+.
Meanwhile, Marvel will soon release Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie takes place four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
