What Is The Crash About?

The case started with a car traveling 100 miles per hour crashing into the side of a brick building. The teen behind the wheel, Mackenzie Shirilla, was seriously injured, while her boyfriend and his best friend died on the spot. They were returning from a high school graduation party when the crash (appearing to be a tragic accident at the time) occurred. However, it was soon revealed that things were not smooth between Shirilla and Dominic Russo.
A closer look at the case revealed that Shirilla intentionally crashed the car, turning it into a vehicular homicide. She faced a bench trial in 2023 and was convicted on 12 felony counts, including murder. She was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years. Shirilla, whom a judge called “hell on wheels” during the verdict, is currently incarcerated at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
The documentary will cover everything from the relationship between Shirilla and Russo to the events of the night in question. According to Tudum, a logline of the movie reads, “The documentary film examines the shifting narratives surrounding the night of the crash to pinpoint where a fatal mistake turns into cold-blooded murder.”
Is There a Trailer for The Crash?

It also featured footage of Mackenzie Shirilla and Dominic Russo’s personal moments and their high school graduation party. It also featured interview snippets from two of their friends.
