For a limited time, Disney+ subscribers have officially received a new perk, allowing them to obtain a free superhero costume in the popular Marvel Rivals game. This new perk has been made in partnership with Marvel Games and NetEase Games.

What do we know about the new Disney+ perk?

With the launch of Marvel Rivals’ The Avengers mode, Disney+ subscribers will be given an exclusive free Loki costume, which is inspired by Tom Hiddleston’s iconic look in 2012’s The Avengers movie. This cool new perk will only be available from May 1 at 9:00 AM PT through July 30 at 8:59 AM PT.

“The Avengers mode is described as a brand new asymmetric fight mode where one player plays as Loki against six other players who suit up as different heroes,” reads the new mode’s description. “Wielding an all-new skill set built around combining deception and illusions, Loki can manipulate enemy heroes in battle using mind control and summon the six heroes he commands to join the battlefield in pursuit of victory. Meanwhile, the heroes can fight back by summoning Hulk under certain conditions, recreating iconic scenes from Marvel Studios’ The Avengers!”

Marvel Rivals is an award-winning free-to-play shooter video game that allows players to assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains. They will be battling with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. It was first released in December 2024 and has a current lineup of 49 playable characters.

According to Disney, this new perk is part of its year-long promotional content and events for the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18. The movie is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, with Stephen McFeely writing the screenplay. It will feature the return of Avengers vets Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.
