In a recent post on X, insider Cryptic HD Quality recently quoted the news that the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be returning to theaters on February 6, 2026. In the post, the insider theorized that it would be the perfect place for a potential Spider-Man 4 trailer, joking that if he were Sony and Marvel, it would be the a great spot.
“If i had to place a trailer anywhere, it’d be here,” said the insider. “Especially since I got [no] appropriate movies to attach said trailer to.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed the MCU film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which was released in 2021. Cretton was also attached to direct the fourth Avengers movie for a time, back when it was called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but stepped down from the position in November 2023.
The movie will once again be led by Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo are also expected to return for the sequel.
They will be joined by cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Jon Bernthal, and Tillman, among others. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.
Spider-Man 4 will be released in U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
