If you love the Percy Jackson movie series, you definitely are a big fan of Rick Riordan, who has also tried his hand at Norse mythology. Famous for his Greek antiquities and treasured tales, Riordan once shared his thoughts on one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most bittersweet characters, Loki. Talking to The Guardian back in 2015, the author mentioned,
I grew up on Thor comics and I like the Marvel movies, but they play fast and loose with the Norse myths. I wanted my version to be closer to the original. Loki is a great character in the old Viking stories.
Ricordan then went on to add that in his then renclty released novel, he tried to bring Loki “the same way he acts in the myths: clever, funny, capricious, silver-tongued and quick to anger.”
The interview took place when Riordan released his book, Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer. Other works of Riordan that are highly praised are the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, the Heroes of Olympus series, the Trials of Apollo series, and more.
While his books have been adapted into some great adventurous movies, starring Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, and others, his Percy Jackson tales were recently turned into a full-fledged series, which is available to stream on Disney+.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will release its first two episodes on Wednesday, December 10, as per Radio Times. Meanwhile, the following episodes will be released every Wednesday till January 21, 2026.

Marvel Studios Will Fix One Terrible Glitch in Loki’s Storyline
Loki is one of the beings we have hated and laughed at, but also someone who made us cry and proud at his very end. While we bid farewell to one Loki, in Avengers: Infinity War, who died protecting his brother and his fellow Asgardians, another one was recently seen being trapped in endless time.
However, it is crucial to know that the Loki we are watching in the Disney+ series Loki is actually from another timeline and not Earth-616. He is the one who escaped after the battle of New York in Avengers: Endgame.
This makes us think that Thor, who sobbed on the dead body of his brother after he died at the hands of Thanos, is yet to see the big things his younger brother has achieved in life.
However, get ready to have the sun shine upon us, as Avengers: Doomsday will officially bring these two beloved characters back on one screen. The recent team-up of Avengers: Doomsday suggests that Loki will be included in the Avengers team, alongside Thor, the new Captain America, and others.
