Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for One Piece Episode 1152.
Episode 1152 of One Piece felt like a major turning point where emotion, action, and story all came together strongly after a very long time. As I watched the events unfold, I felt fully pulled into the mix of reveals and powerful scenes that lifted the finale of the Egghead arc to a new level. It found a good balance between world-building and emotional storytelling.
On one side, I finally got to learn more about Dr. Vegapunk’s past with Clover and the Clover Kingdom. This gave more depth to the long-running mystery of the Void Century, and it also helped me understand Vegapunk in a more personal way. On the other side, Bonney’s long and painful journey reached a moment that I, and millions of One Piece fans, have been waiting for.
Vegapunk’s Hidden Past and Atlas’ Heroic Sacrifice
When I first saw the preview of One Piece Episode 1152, I was hoping for something completely different, but I can honestly say that the shift toward Vegapunk’s past felt fresh and important. His reveal about Clover and the Ohara added a strong new layer to the bigger mystery surrounding the Void Century. For a long time, the link between old scholars, forbidden history, and the fear of the World Government has been a major puzzle, which was solved a little today. Not only that, but hearing Vegapunk speak about Clover (indirectly)with such respect made me appreciate him much more.

It more or less reminded me that behind his strange genius is a man who has carried the weight of world-changing knowledge for years. I also liked how the story shifted from one emotional moment to another, as Atlas took the stage. Atlas stepped forward to protect the Thousand Sunny and the Straw Hats from V. Nusjuro by sacrificing herself and giving them a chance to escape. Her choice to put herself in danger showed the courage and loyalty of Vegapunk’s satellites, and even though she knew she was not strong enough to win, she still stood her ground.
As the Sunny moved ahead, it was clear that Atlas’s actions were not only smart but also deeply emotional. She acted as both a shield and a final hope for everyone trying to escape Egghead and moving on to the next phase of the narrative. It felt like a perfect goodbye to Vegapunk’s character and his satellites in One Piece, who have been one of the most important aspects of the Egghead storyline since the very beginning.
Bonney’s Justice for Ginny and Kuma Takes Center Stage
I liked the overall tone of the One Piece episode, but the final moments stood out to me the most, solely because of Bonney. After learning the full story of Ginny’s pain and Kuma’s long suffering, Bonney has been in a lot of pain, and seeing her finally face Saturn felt like a moment the story had been building toward for a long time. This was far more than a strike against the Elder. It was the final release of years of anger, fear, and heartbreak aimed at the source of Bonney’s suffering.
What made it even more powerful was how the episode let Bonney’s emotions lead the scene. Her voice, her determination, and her refusal to step back made her feel incredibly strong, not because of raw power but because of how much she had endured. Her transformation into Nika once again was one of the most exciting moments, and watching her join Luffy and prepare a massive attack made the scene feel almost electric. Saturn, who had looked impossible to defeat since the beginning, finally showed signs of fear and was ultimately taken down by a mighty attack that was satisfying in every way.
Once the attack landed and Saturn went down, it was clear that the tide of the battle had changed. The Straw Hats were finally finding their way back together, and Bonney had ultimately taken a real step toward freedom from her sad and heartbreaking past. Now, the only thing left is for everyone to escape Egghead and move toward the next part of the story in One Piece, which is bound to happen in a few more episodes.
